The Cosmetic team is always hopeful but sceptical when we hear about new products promising great beauty. Sadly, there is never a shortage about cosmetic enhancement products, treatments, and devices that promise miracle solutions to troubling facial problems such as crow’s feet, marionette lines, and other wrinkles.
As if to prove that point, the Daily Mail recently ran a story about face lift bras, the self-proclaimed revolutionary rubber device that combats smile lines. Let us tell you more.
Costhetics Looks at the Face Lift Bra
It seems like everything old is new again. Though touted as the newest thing on the market, face bras have actually been on the retail scene in Asia for years.

Do they work? Here’s what one manufacturer promises.
“The (product) is a new facial slimming system that lifts and tightens the skin by reducing water retention and inflammation beneath the surface. Special minerals in (our product) flush away these wastes, allowing it to compact and tighten the skin.”
If you worry about other people laughing at you, the face bra is not for you. They look absurd and can’t be worn in public. It is also recommended that you do a series of “mouth exercises” while wearing your face bra. The effectiveness of both the device and the exercises is questionable, as there is no science to back it up.
The price is low, which is tempting many people to take the challenge. The so-called cosmetic device is the equivalent of wrapping your face in an Ace bandage.
Costhetics Gives No-Knife Nose Job Device the “Sniff Test”
Japanese women seeking a more perfect profile are snapping up a product that advertises itself as a nasal support beauty clip. The clip, also known as a “nose shaper” and “nose straightener,” has two silicone prongs that are inserted into the nostrils.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, the manufacturer explained the so-called science behind the device:
“After slipping this clip gently into your nostrils, the supports on either side help balance and push up the bones and contours of your nose, so it has an overall sharper, straighter shape, less round and more graceful.”
The newest version of the nose shaper includes a vibration function. It allegedly makes the nose firmer and pushes it higher, all in just three minutes a day.
